More Than a Storytime

I am She’Meka Wilson, author of the OH NO! Jade series. I visit schools to read engaging stories with students while helping them think about their choices, build confidence, and understand real life lessons in a way that makes sense to them. Through interactive reading and real conversations, I help children build confidence, make thoughtful choices, and begin understanding important life lessons in a way they can truly connect with.
Each visit includes an interactive reading, meaningful conversation with students, and simple lessons they can apply in their everyday lives. My goal is to give children something they remember long after the story ends.
What Students experience
Students are encouraged to participate, ask questions, and think about the choices they make. Through storytelling, they begin to understand confidence, decision making, and early money concepts in a way that feels natural and easy to understand.
Booking and Pricing
School visits start at $150 per session. This is a great fit for classrooms, literacy events, and special school programs. Pricing may vary based on group size, number of sessions, and location. Book purchases are available for classrooms and schools, with discounted pricing for group orders. Students love taking the story home, making this a meaningful experience both in and out of the classroom.
